President Rodrigo Duterte, Davao City Mayor Inday Sara and alternate individuals from the Philippine appointment have been warmly invited in their landing to the Kingdom of Jordan.

The Philippine appointment touches base at the Queen Alia International Airport in Amman on load up a Philippine Airlines contracted flight PR001 from Israel on September 5, 2018, to enhance the connection amongst Philippines and Jordan.

Duterte who’s the primary Filipino pioneer to visit Jordan was invited by the Philippine Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ambassador Akmad Sakkam and Escort of Honor to the President and Ministry of Social Development Minister Hala Lattouf. Other Jordanian government authorities and individuals from the dignitaries are additionally present to welcome President Duterte on his noteworthy visit.

In the video posted by Philippine News Agency, it showed that that the President received a Red Carpet welcome with Military Guard of Honor on the arrival of the Duterte, a sign that Jordan prepared on the historic visit of the Filipino leader.

From the Airport, the Filipino leader quickly went to the Intercontinental Hotel in Amman where President Duterte shall stay during his visit.

Duterte was also warmly welcomed when he arrived at the hotel, he was received by Intercontinental Hotel General Manager Carlos Malliaroudaki.

Members of the Philippine Embassy in Jordan and some Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) also didn’t let the opportunity to meet and greet the President escape.

The President is set to meet with King Abdullah II of Jordan Thursday at Al Husseinieh Palace, following a welcome ceremony at noon.

President Duterte and King Abdullah were scheduled to personally witness the agreements between Jordan and Philippines.

The agreements would consist of defense cooperation, labor, OFW welfare, foreign affairs, and trade and investments.

Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) also said that there’s an agreement on the employment of domestic workers that would be inked that might help to improve the working conditions of the OFWs in Jordan.
