Amid the ongoing protest on the alleged 2016 electoral fraud, Jay Sonza, veteran broadcaster and former TV host, once again took the freedom to voice his opinion this time about his dismay to Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, for allegedly shutting down former House Representative, Glenn Chong during the last senate probe on electoral protest.
According to various witness accounts, Senator Pimentel who chaired the senate hearing has been said to consistently ignored Chong’s attempts to take his turn to speak, thus, was only given limited time to explain his expose about the election fraud.
Various reactions from political gurus and netizens alike have surfaced online and slammed Sen. Pimentel, one of which is Jay Sonza who is known for being fearless in talking his psyche over different political issues.
In his recent Facebook post, Sonza castigated the former Senate President and questioned the latter what can be his possible motive or reason for suppressing the truth behind the “smartmatic-comelec election fraud expose” during the Senate Investigation?
“Ano ang posibleng motibo o dahilan ni Koko sa pagsikil ng katotohanan sa likod ng “smartmatic-comelec election fraud expose’ Senate Investigation?”, the veteran journo wrote.
Sonza likewise identified the conceivable reasons of Senator Pimentel.
As per him, number one reason might be because it has an impact on his being elected and re-elected as Senator. Two is to finally show of his real alliance and color in his political affiliation?. Number three might be simply to seek controversy, wishing that he can still run in the 2019 senatorial race in spite of his disqualifications, and lastly because he was given an expensive reward worth tens of millions.
Sonza then ended his post by his usual humorous yet sarcastic quirks by wishing good luck and praised the soon to be wife of the senator.
“By the way, balita ko malapit ng ikasal muli si Sen. Aquiino Pimentele III. Congratulations and good luck in advance sa kanyang magiging bagong maybahay!”, he joked.
